CARLA CAMPOPIANO TRIO

This project is the outcome of the coming together of
contrasting musical worlds.

The group, originally inspired in the rich tradition of Tango
music, explores modern Jazz harmonics and rhythmic
possibilities, looking to expand the expressive boundaries
through modern elements including not only Jazz but also
classical, folk, contemporary and world music.

 

The project aims to build bridges of communication among
the world including musicians from varied world heritages in its concerts and recordings.
 

It is part of a vast generation of musicians, experimenting with different musical languages and the characteristic of each musical style, seeking to develop the stylistic limits of each composition without losing their original heritage.

The group is formed by the Argentine tango flute
composer, and arranger Carla Campopiano and the Mexican composer, percussionist, and arranger Gustavo Cortiñas Fouilloux.
